Fina in Miami '09

The last time I was in the States, I was there for 4 months and that was earlier this year. This time my trip was a lot shorter and I was happy for that. Don't get me wrong, I love going to the US to visit my family & friends but when I get back to Costa Rica I have a feeling of natural joy and comfort that comes over me. It's almost like a big monkey has decided to come off my back while I'm here.
Anywho, I would like to share some photos that I took of events that I attended and just random stuff.

First thing is first..

It was Christina's 26th birthday the first weekend we were there and that was a blast.





Then, after dinner & drinks we went to see A-Sides (again)! That was twice in one week for me.








It was definitely a fun night!



A few days later... Andres & I were married. It was a happy day for me.





After the wedding we headed to South Beach and down to the Art Basel. The Art Basel is one of the biggest art shows in the world. It was interesting to see the countless amount of art exhibited there. I really enjoyed seeing how artists attempted to put their thoughts and emotions into a tangible exhibit for people to see. People can be so intriguing. Here are a few of my favorites...



























After the inspiring art show, we headed to the beach for some Miami sun, except that it wasn't so sunny. But it was still nice!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to this one, it was a ton of fun! A lot of familiar faces in the crowd too. A-Sides blessed us with his impeccable mixing and diverse selection of booty shaking tunes. Thanks to Konrad, Grant, Melissa & the rest of the crew for all the hard work they put forward to make this night happen. I will post A-Sides' live radio set, which he played on Radio 911 Destino Groove as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Fina in Costa Rica Update!

There is a lot of love in the air. First thing is first, Andres (my best friend & boyfriend of 4 years) & I are getting married next month! wooohooo! There can't be nothing better than marrying your best friend.

Second, I will be in Miami for the next month and won't be back in Costa Rica until the middle of December. As far as upcoming events, there are two this Saturday actually. I will be playing at El Festival Urbano- Buscando La Raiz in Zapote on the 21st around 10AM. JNGL was going to play at this but then had to head out to Miami a little sooner, which means they might have Gyzmo play instead. Then A-Sides will be at Latino Rock Cafe that evening. Also, we are working on an event for New Year's in Playa Hermosa. I will put up the flyer really soon for that as well. Much love to all of you.

Festival Urbano: Buscando La Raiz: 20 de Noviembre - 22 de Noviembre 2009

Festival Urbano: Buscando La Raiz is a festival which will be taking place in Zapote- Costa Rica from the dates of Friday November 20th through Sunday November 22nd. This event will feature: skateboarding, live graffiti, Djs, bands, breakdancing + MC freestyle sessions. It's a free outdoor event, everyone is invited! See you there!
